Walking on Indian Trail

This piece became very well known as “James by the Beach” by our restaurant guests who often thought of this painting as the inspiration for the name of our restaurant, James’ Beach, which we opened in 1996. We had set out a blanket by the palm trees along the beach and James started doing his favorite thing, reading. The original was gouache on paper with fluorescent magic marker highlights.
